Whitley go into their third successive FA Vase semi final hoping their experience of the big occasion will give them an edge over Barwell. Barwell have had a hugely impressive season, losing only twice, both in cup competitions. They warmed up for this game with a 5-2 win at Malvern on Tuesday night in front of just 28 people. Saturday's attendance could break 4 figures. Barwell haven't had it all their own way in the FA Vase this season taking a replay to beat Willand Rovers in the 5th round. They beat fellow Northern League side Norton & Stockton Ancients 3-0 with 2 late goals in the quarter finals. Bay are setting off to Barwell this afternoon but we caught up with manager Ian Chandler just before they set off. "The lads are looking forward to tomorrow, we know Barwell have a very impressive league record, but they haven’t been this far in the competition before, and we have the experience from the last 3 years. We have a game plan, which has seen us well over the season, so nothing will change for tomorrow, we know (hope) the tie won’t be won tomorrow, remembering Lowestoft 2008!!!!
