03/06/2010 - Chertsey captain joins Bay

Whitley Bay are pleased to announce that we have signed Steve Gibson the captain and right back with Chertsey Town who we beat in the 5th round after a replay of this years FA Vase.

Steve, pictured above right in the replay at Hillheads, was picked out by our scouts who watched Chertsey prior to the Vase game as a very good defender who likes to get forward.

As soon as it became known that Steve was available Ian Chandler swooped to capture his signature.
