Baz, as you've not been to Hillheads for ten years it's a fair question to ask but regular fans should be well aware of sponsorship opportunities. You only have to read the match programme to see that sponsorship deals are advertised on a full page spread.
These include match sponsorship (every game, not just cup games) man of the match sponsorship, player sponsorship, match ball sponsorship, mascot package, programme advertising..
There is also a link to sponsorship packages on this website, on the extras tab.
Sponsors are announced and thanked on the PA system as well as in the programme and at after match presentations in the clubhouse.
The Club gets a good response to the programme and website ads although it would obviously be good to have more sponsors and if any fan knows of someone who would be interested then please pass on the information to them or ask them to contact any club official.
As Ghoul says, let's pull together and try to get the facts right.

Always thought a player of the month should be selected by the fans and shown on the website and maybe a presentation of some sort.

Good Post Baz
ie
Do Whitley Have Match Sponsors or Match ball Sponsors for individuals or groups, if not, it is a good way to raise money, also try to get a Company to Sponsor the Player of the month.

Sorry if I am stating the obvious but I havn't been to Whitley for 10 years so I don,t know the present set up

I HAVE been to Whitley Bay for the last ten years (and more) and either, you see, I don't know either, thats the problem you see
in a word
COMMUNICATION
Not a criticsm, but a statement of fact, the Board have done a great job where it matters , on the field, but they really should take an over view- I don't think that there is a dedicated programne for sponsorship, a great and easy way to get in extra funds,
its just need brainstorming and focus, and bringing in additional help
Maybe that is the problem

Betty plans to get the train along the Tyne line tomorrow and will be carrying a special packet of "Love Hearts" for the game, see her and any travelling Bay fans can have a free sweetie ahead of the bash . Think this Scottish air will affect play to our advantage and Bay should win 5-2 !!

Cheeks - 30/07/2010 - Baz

Congrats on getting Cheeks( a legend at Blyth)
to be honest Whitley are the only club who could of enticed him away from the Spartans.
Hope he becomes a legend at Whitley, although I don't think you will get 400+ games out of him, he is knocking on now you know (30)

now I will have to pay to get in to both clubs
